OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

Job Role-Test Engineer

1. Test Planning and Strategy: Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies based on project requirements, specifications, and business goals.
2. Test Design and Execution: Create and execute detailed test cases, scenarios, and scripts to thoroughly test the application's functionality, performance, and security.
3. Defect Tracking and Reporting: Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring timely communication to the development team. Generate detailed defect reports and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.

Automation Testing: Implement and maintain automated testing processes to increase efficiency and coverage. Utilize automation tools for regression testing and continuous integration

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide feedback on code quality.
2. Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing to ensure the application meets scalability and responsiveness requirements under various conditions.
3. Maintenance Testing: Contribute to corrective, predictive, and evolutionary maintenance activities by validating fixes, assessing impacts, and ensuring overall system stability.
4. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, test cases, and testing processes.
5. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and testing methodologies. Propose and implement improvements to the testing process.

EXPERIENCE

5+ years
