OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer with expertise in Python and Playwright to join our QA team in the airline domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the stability and performance of airline reservation systems, booking engines, and flight operations platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and develop robust automated test scripts using Playwright with Python for web-based airline applications.

· Collaborate with product owners, developers, and other QA engineers to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.

· Perform end-to-end testing for complex airline systems including booking engines, flight schedules, ticketing, and ancillary services.

· Build and maintain reusable test frameworks and test suites for regression and integration testing.

· Conduct performance, load, and stress testing for mission-critical airline platforms.

· Identify, document, and track bugs and enhancements using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.

· Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.

· Ensure compliance with airline industry standards and regulations (IATA, PCI-DSS, etc.) where applicable.

EXPERIENCE

· 5+ years of hands-on experience in Python for automation testing.

· 5+ years of experience with Playwright or similar frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).

· Solid understanding of airline domain workflows: reservations, ticketing, check-in, baggage handling, and loyalty programs.

· Experience with REST/SOAP API testing using tools like Postman or Python-based libraries.

· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

QUALIFICATION

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with airline reservation systems (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo) is a strong plus.

· Knowledge of test case management tools such as TestRail or Zephyr.

· Understanding of airline data formats such as PNR, SSR, and EMD.

· ISTQB Certification or equivalent is desirable.
