OBJECTIVE OF ROLE
Sr. Technical Developer (SQL Server & SSIS)
Location: California (Remote)
About the Role: As a Senior Technical Developer, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and optimization of our Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), leveraging SQL Server and SSIS technologies. You'll collaborate closely with architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to implement scalable and robust solutions that drive business value.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases, stored procedures, views, and performance-tuned queries.
• Create, maintain, and optimize complex ETL processes using SSIS.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and compliance with data governance.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and resolve performance issues in database queries and ETL processes.
• Participate in code reviews, testing cycles, and deployments.
• Document technical designs, processes, and best practices clearly and comprehensively.
EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 7+ years of professional experience in SQL Server database development and SSIS ETL processes.
• Strong expertise in SQL Server (SQL, stored procedures, query optimization, indexing, performance tuning).
• Deep experience designing and building complex ETL workflows using SSIS.
• Familiarity with data modeling, data warehouse architecture, and dimensional modeling.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable interfacing with business stakeholders.
QUALIFICATION
- BE/B Tech or Equivalent
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal skills, strong relationship management and negotiation skills
