OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

Job Title: Product Owner – Airline (Baggage & Cargo Management)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with strong domain expertise in the airline industry, specifically in baggage and cargo management systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining product vision, managing the product backlog, and working closely with business stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver scalable and high-impact solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring clear prioritization aligned with business goals
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, operations teams, and IT to gather and refine requirements
• Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications for baggage and cargo systems
• Act as a bridge between business and engineering teams to ensure successful product delivery
• Drive Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews
• Ensure timely delivery of features with a focus on quality, scalability, and performance
• Monitor product performance and gather feedback for continuous improvement
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including UX, QA, DevOps, and architecture
• Ensure compliance with aviation standards and operational processes

EXPERIENCE

Key Requirements:

• 6–10+ years of experience in Product Owner / Business Analyst roles
• Strong experience in the Airline domain (mandatory)
• Hands-on exposure to Baggage Management Systems (BHS/BRS) and/or Cargo Management Systems
• Good understanding of airline operations, airport workflows, and logistics processes
• Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong skills in requirement gathering, stakeholder management, and backlog prioritization
• Experience with tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile tools
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with airlines, airports, or aviation IT service providers
• Knowledge of IATA standards related to baggage and cargo
• Exposure to API integrations, microservices, and digital platforms
• Certification such as CSPO / SAFe Product Owner is a plus
