OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

IGT Solutions is looking for a Senior System Engineer to join us. We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of engineering and management with experience in creating and implementing systems software. The key focus area for this role would be to improve existing processes resulting in increased productivity and balance various aspects of a project. You will focus on keeping the Linux Server environment operating optimally with an environment highly available, well-performing, and secure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research and implement operating system protocols on both new and existing servers, providing deliverables as required. • Manage daily operating systems, ensuring all systems are current and running at top efficiency. • Participate with Enterprise Architects, Development, Product and other parties to develop and deliver new platforms. • Insures corporate standards and security measures are followed and be in compliance. • Interface with technical clients and/or team members to establish optimum data transfer methods. • Provide off-hours production support to all clients for product suite. • Leverage skill set and knowledge in concert with staff to determine best delivery method and technical protocols for enhanced or new products.

EXPERIENCE

• 5-6 years’ or more experience developing, deploying or supporting systems software and hardware technologies. • 4+ years travel industry experience required

QUALIFICATION

Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience preferred Relevant Linux and cloud certifications are a plus

ABILITIES

• Demonstrates well rounded command of other technology disciplines. • Proficient writing, speaking, and interpersonal skills to work with internal and external customers. • Broad technical skills in systems software, hardware, operating systems, storage and network. • Proven analytical approach to problem solving. • Ability to work with vendors to design and implement solutions.
