OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with hands-on experience in Databricks, PySpark, ETL development, and SQL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions. Experience with Azure Cloud, Python, and Power BI is an added advantage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines to support data ingestion, transformation, and processing using Databricks and PySpark.
Develop efficient and reusable data models, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and performance.
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Optimize SQL queries and ensure best practices for performance tuning and scalability.
Integrate data from multiple sources into a unified analytics environment on Azure.
Collaborate with BI teams to enable meaningful insights through tools such as Power BI.
Implement and maintain data governance, version control, and automation practices.

EXPERIENCE

Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Experience: 5+ Years

Primary Skills: Azure Databricks- Unity catalog in Databrick, workflow, job scheduling, Alert, Pyspark, SQL, ETL.
Strong experience in Databricks and PySpark for data engineering and processing.
Expertise in ETL development and data pipeline orchestration.
Proficiency in SQL (query optimization, stored procedures, performance tuning).
Hands-on experience with Azure Data Services (Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Data Factory).
Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
Has advanced knowledge of audit principles through extensive experience.
Has strong understanding of the business processes in assigned areas to best implement policies and practices.

QUALIFICATION

BE/B Tech
Strong knowledge of software development methodologies.
Strong interpersonal skills, strong relationship management and negotiation skills
5+ years Data Engineer experience
