OBJECTIVE OF ROLE
IGT Solutions is looking for a Module Lead to perform code reviews and mentor junior developers. Communicate and enforce coding standards. Collaborate with team members throughout the software development life cycle, and understand the customer needs for a delightful delivery. As a Module Lead, you will have to provide technical expertise and recommendations to support and enhance our existing modules. You will be required to code and conduct reviews as needed, along with participating in product architecture and design. The candidate may also be called on to provide technical, troubleshooting, and design guidance to other development teams, you should be flexible, highly adaptable, and an excellent team player.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead technical reviews to ensure quality parameters are being met. • Understand detailed area to provide a solution in complex problem domain. • Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations. • Resolve and/or escalate issues on time. • Review work of the development team and maintain relevant metrics of the same. • Keep the development team well informed of changes within the organization and general corporate news. • Recognize system deficiencies and implement effective solutions. • Create new filter designs as necessary to meet changing needs. • Define high-level functional requirements using established processes. • Troubleshoot and identify bugs in existing software, design and release fixes.
EXPERIENCE
• 6 to 8 years
Java 8 or above, Spring Framework (especially Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data), RESTful Web Services – Creation and consumption, JPA/Hibernate – ORM frameworks, Multithreading & Concurrency, Exception Handling & Collections Framework Design Patterns – Singleton, Factory, Strategy, Unit Testing – JUnit, Mockito.
Technical Skills:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems using Java and Spring Boot. Drive system design and architecture discussions for new and existing services. Write clean, efficient, and testable code following best practices. Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps to deliver end-to-end features. Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability. Participate in code reviews, ensure code quality, and mentor junior engineers when needed. Identify performance bottlenecks and design robust solutions. Quickly ramp up on new technologies, business domains, and codebases. Contribute to improving development processes, automation, and CI/CD pipelines
Hands-on development using Java (8 or above), Spring Boot, and modern backend frameworks. Drive system design discussions and define the architecture for distributed, microservices-based solutions.
QUALIFICATION
• B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA with excellent academic record and should have relevant IT industry exposure. • Certifications in different technologies will be preferred. • Exposure to travel domain development is preferred.
ABILITIES
Good understanding of software technologies. Good understanding of object-oriented approach. Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle. Good knowledge of any database vendor versions. Good knowledge of standard development tools. Proficiency to use standard computing tools word processor, spreadsheet, browser, email, and file compression software. Utilizes each team member to his/her fullest potential.
