About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our growing team in Switzerland. This role focuses on driving revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities in the IT services and managed services sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT sales, a deep understanding of managed services, and a proven track record of building and maintaining long-term client relationships.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development:
    • Identify and target new business opportunities in the IT services and managed services space across Switzerland.
    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
    • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects through networking, cold calling, and leveraging existing relationships.
  2. Client Relationship Management:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, understanding their business needs, and proposing tailored IT solutions.
    • Foster long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
    • Conduct regular client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations to showcase our offerings.
  3. Market Research & Strategy:
    • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the IT services and managed services domain.
    • Provide insights and feedback to the leadership team to refine sales strategies and service offerings.
    • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns and generate leads.
  4. Sales Execution:
    • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, quotes, and contracts to prospective clients.
    • Negotiate terms and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
    • Ensure seamless handover of new clients to the delivery and operations teams for successful project execution.
  5. Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with technical teams, pre-sales, and delivery teams to ensure alignment on client requirements and solution design.
    • Provide regular updates and reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and market trends to senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • 12+ years of experience in IT sales, business development, or account management, with a focus on IT services and managed services.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in the IT industry.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, and managed services offerings.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with C-level executives and decision-makers.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a passion for driving business growth.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with global clients or multinational organizations.
  • Knowledge of CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics platforms.
  • Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and industry standards.
