OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

The objective of this role is to ensure end-to-end quality assurance across the entire application stack, including frontend (UI), backend services, APIs, and database/data pipelines. The Full Stack Tester will be responsible for validating application functionality, ensuring data integrity, verifying ETL processes, and maintaining high-quality standards across systems. This role requires strong analytical skills and hands-on experience in functional, API, database, and ETL testing to support reliable and scalable applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Functional Testing

  • Perform end-to-end functional testing across frontend (UI), backend services, and database layers.

  • Design, develop, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans

API and Backend Testing

  • Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.

  • Validate request/response structure, status codes, and business logic.

Database and ETL Testing

  • Perform ETL testing to validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.

  • Write and execute SQL queries to validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

Defect Management and Quality Assurance

  • Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect-tracking tools such as JIRA or similar.

  • Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve defects.

Collaboration and Agile Participation

  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, business analysts, and data engineers.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Data Validation and Quality Control

  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across systems.

  • Validate backend processing and data transformations.

EXPERIENCE

  • 5–8 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.

  • Strong hands-on experience in Functional Testing across UI, API, and Database layers.

  • Proven experience in ETL testing and data validation.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

  • Experience in enterprise applications, data-driven systems, or data warehouse environments is preferred.
